Tobari Quiet Support

Overview

Tobari Quiet is a Safari Web Extension that overlays a quiet presentation on busy web pages. It adjusts colors, spacing, decoration, and toggles down images and video, while keeping links, forms, and other page functionality working as usual.

Enabling the extension in Safari

  1. Open the Tobari Quiet app and tap "Open Safari extension settings." This opens the Extensions list in the Settings app, where you can turn Tobari Quiet on and choose the websites it can access.
  2. If the button doesn't open Settings, open it manually: Settings app > Apps > Safari > Extensions (on some OS versions: Settings > Safari > Extensions).
  3. In Safari, open the page menu (or the extensions icon in the address bar) and select Tobari Quiet to change the global on/off state and per-site exclusions for the page you're viewing.

Frequently asked questions

The extension doesn't seem to work on some sites.
This can happen for a few reasons:

I want to see the original image or page.
Tap the placeholder shown over an image or video to reveal it temporarily (tap again to hide it). To restore the whole page, turn off "Enable quieter presentation" in the extension popup, or choose "Disabled on this site."

It's not working right after an update or reinstall.
Tabs that were already open may not pick up the change. Fully quit Safari and reopen it.

The page seems stuck, or the quiet presentation never starts.
If the extension can't finish starting within a few seconds, it automatically falls back to the page's original appearance for safety. If this persists, reopen the page, or try fully quitting and reopening Safari as described above.
